Storyline and Gameplay
Wario receives an antique globe and telescope that allow him to travel to the once-idyllic Shake Dimension, now conquered by the tyrannical pirate, the Shake King. With the assistance of his longtime rival, Captain Syrup, he must rescue the Merfles, denizens of the Shake Dimension imprisoned by the Shake King. Only by defeating the bosses of all five continents of this strange world can Wario find and confront the Shake King, rescue Queen Merelda, queen of the Merfles, and, most importantly, claim the Bottomless Coin Sack, a never-ending supply of gold.

Each stage has Wario navigating an obstacle course of dangers and traps to find an imprisoned Merfle. Once he frees the little fellow, the countdown begins and he must find his way back to the starting gate before time runs out. Wario must also defeat a boss in each continent, and then buy a map of the next continent from Captain Syrup. Once all five continents' bosses have been defeated, Wario takes on the Shake King himself.

Characters
Wario Land: Shake It features a wide cast of off-the-wall characters including: Wario, our "hero." Captain Syrup, a female pirate (and rival from previous games) who aids Wario on his quest. The Merfles, helpless natives of the Shake Dimension, and their queen, Queen Merelda. The Shake King, leader of a ruthless pirate band who has conquered the Shake Dimension.

Key Game Features:

  • Shake Things Up With the Wii Remote - With the Wii Remote controller turned sideways, veterans and newcomers alike can run, jump and smash their way through hectic side-scrolling stages. By shaking the Wii Remote, you can shake down your enemies, free coins from treasure bags and even cause earthquakes.
  • Side-Scrolling Fun - Each stage is a masterfully crafted side-scrolling obstacle course of puzzles, enemies and assorted hazards. Every stage holds numerous secrets and treasures to discover (and steal). And each stage has multiple "missions" to keep you coming back again and again to unlock everything, collect more coins or just improve your best time.
  • Classic Wario Action and Attitude - Wario returns to form, with all the jumping, power-dashing and butt-stomping we've come to expect. This is surly Wario at his finest.
The Wii Remote: Powers, Weapons, Moves & Vehicles
Wario can jump and dash, as per previous Wario Land games. New to this game is the ability to shake the Wii Remote for various effects. By default, a shake of the Wii Remote makes Wario punch the ground, causing a small earthquake and dazing enemies. Wario can then pick up dazed enemies and, with another shake of the Wii Remote, shake them for rejuvenating garlic and occasionally gold. Enemies can also be thrown, and you aim by tilting the Wii Remote.

Wario also takes control of three different vehicles during the course of the game, all of which are piloted in part by tilting the Wii Remote. The controls are standard for a Wii Remote held sideways (D-pad, buttons), but with an important twist: most of Wario's special moves are accomplished by shaking or tilting the Wii Remote. This allows great versatility but without forcing the player to remember complicated button combinations.

Wario Makes It!
Fun game. Kids and I really enjoy it. Little bit of everything in it.

Great Game but too short
This game is really fun but for the price I'd expect a ton of levels but it only took us 2 days to beat the game. Super mario galaxy has tons of levels to play but this game has like only 20.

Warioland - Shake It
Love this game and I can't get my daughter and other family members off of the game so I can play it. It is very fun.

Going back to basics... And loving every second of it!
As a fan of the Wario Land series since it first came to the US, in the days of the great black-and-white handheld, I've been waiting for the next Wario 2D treasure hunt of a platformer since I finished Wario Land 4 back in 2003, I can proudly say that this game is worth every penny I spent on it.

First off, let me say that this game is not for the five-year-old kids and their mommies who find those Wii minigame crap fests (Looking at you, Carnival Games) oh-so-adorable and fun... This is for the Nintendo fans. This is for gamers.

The platforming and treasure hunting aspects of the game have gone mostly unchanged, Wario is still ramming into bad guys and searching high and low for any valuables he can get his grubby palms on.

The levels play out like they did in Wario Land 4: Get to the end of the level, grab the little helper guy, get back to the beginning as fast as you can. All while exploring every room looking for treasure. The health system is also unchanged.

There are some new things as well, however. Such as shaking things to get treasure and vehicular segments. The motion controls work well for the most part, shaking things to get treasure is an entertaining aspect that I have no real problem with. Aiming cannons to launch yourself out of are also motion-controlled.

As for the vehicular levels, steering is all motion-controlled, and this can get a bit tiresome, but there are only a few segments like this.

The graphics are absolutely beautiful, the characters are hand-drawn, and the backdrops are all very colorful and nice to look at.

The game is rather long, with eight worlds and many lengthy levels within each to explore, and even more treasure to find! It will keep you busy for quite awhile. ;)

I'd recommend this to any fans of Mario, Wario, and platforming games. It won't disappoint.

Updated Classic
This was a second-draft purchase as the game I wanted wasn't available. But now I'm actually liking it better than the game I originally wanted (and borrowed from a friend).

The only thing I wish is that it was two players. Even if player2 was a tag-along side-kick to collect stray coins or what-not.

Overall, the game is fun and a welcomed update to the super mario bro fun I had when I was a kid. There's no innovative use of the wiimotes other than shaking and the occasional tilting to direct where a shot is fired.

one of the best fighting games ever! no scratch that.. one of the best GAMES ever!
the fights are fast pace and fun. you can create your OWN fighter if the default characters arnt good enough for you, graphics are really good.
and there is ALOT of unlockables and extras such as "Tales of Souls" and "Chronicles of the Sword" in Tales of Souls you can select a character and go on a Choose your own adventure type thing.
in Chronicles of the Sword you can use your created characters to go on a pretty fun adventure. its like a RTS/RPG/Fighting game you can level up your characters to become stronger it is very. very. easy though

..there ARE a few cons though
for an example. there is alot of clipping issues when you make a character, im not exactly sure how a cape can go through a robe but whatever.
and there is a VERY bad glitch that can wreck up your Chronicles of the Sword data if you delete memory card files AFTER you save on the game it will be corrupted
and a few of the female characters are a bit suggestive looking so i would reccomend this game for kids 12 and up.

Overall it is a AMAZING game.
buy it now

Phoned In
It seems as though Soul Calibur is taking the same route the MK franchise took during its later years pre 3D arena combat(which is just became appauling, not to be confused with making mention that this as a good thing) and while the game is just as fun as its predecessors, it feels like Namco is comfortable with just phoning it in. A lot of the gameplay mechanics feel either weighted with slower reaction times despite how quickly you do react to an attack in real time (i.e. Rolling and getting back up or attacking while getting back up is now slower and feels sluggish especially with the heavier characters like Siegfried.) or reusing quite a bit of the mechanics from SCII. I'm all for sticking with a good thing (that being said why aren't Hwang and LiLong not part of the main story line and their prime story battles not involving the beating of their replacements? (Hong Yun-Seong and Maxi respectively.)) Shiny, Pretty graphics are great to bring in a new audience (but seeing as how a game like this as so very little competition with having a niche of using weapons; that shouldn't be a hard thing to do.) The only reason i would write something like this is now after the game has been out for a few years now is with the premier of SC IV and how it feels as though the SC Team is using the same game mechanics to once again turn a fun and creative game in a potentially irritating experience. Things like this were forgivable when "Soul Blade" came out as the first of its series but I would think after so many sequels they would have figured out the glitches to assure veterans of the series that there wouldn't be any reason to be skeptical when picking up the latest installment.

BTW Namco, that Memory Card glitch was a really lame thing to overlook prior to releasing this. The level of frustration of that alone would make a fan an enemy of such a great series very quickly.

not as awesome as 2 caliber 3
Soul Caliber 3 was step in a new direction they made significant changes to the parry system and added some awesome new features. Character creation, an awesome idea that fit perfectly into the game. with a wide variety of weapon classes, you could honestly fight like a unique character. The only thing I didn't like was it felt like they were very limited on your armor selection they characters looked almost fake compared to the original cast. They stepped up the adventure, with a unique story where you could use your custom creation for awesome story telling battle. almost like a board game it was set up so that various different spot were strategic battles towards a goal. If you ever played DBZ budokai 2, it was set up the same way for it's story mode. The soundtrack was as always phenomenal, like it always has been. graphics were updated and crisp, I did not have a battle that I wasn't pleased with visually. The controls felt right at home with a ps2 controller, they were smooth and responsive. along with all that they added 2 new characters who added some spice to the already extensive cast of warriors, BUT despite all that awesomeness. There are two things that could have made this game much better. First off was the online play ability. It was possible on ps2 and they didn't do it. 2 I was an Xbox owner and really wanted it on my Xbox but instead I had to play it on the ps2 which by this time I did not own one anymore. overall it was still a great game and although I wish they had spawn or link again was a fantastic game.

A fantastic, repetitive game!
Having played and loved Soul Calibur II, I was definitely excited for SCIII. The new characters looked so cool and I couldn't wait to play them. Customization was brand new to me and I had fun creating whatever I thought of. Unfortunately, it just got a bit repetitive. Each character had a very similar story and I felt like I was doing the same thing over and over again. Although fun, it didn't offer anything exciting and no one seemed to play it, either. But then I realized how good the music was. I would play just to hear the soundtrack, even though I had the physical CD of the music. Also, I started to appreciate the detailed level design and how each character's stage fit them and gave them advantages. The thought of unlocking new customization options and art was big for me, too, because the joy of unlocking something gave me a joy not found elsewhere. I could play SCIII again without being bored because I started to appreciate other aspects beside gameplay. And as soon as I heard that Soul Calibur IV would release I got the same feeling that it would be as good, if not better, than the game I loved.

The most addictive fighting game, EVER!!
ARC here,
I first became aware of Soul Calibur when it was an arcade game (under a different name) years ago. The fighting game was like Mortal Kombat but with weapons such as swords, ninchunk etc. This game was addictive too.
Now, I found out about it (the PS2 game) through renting it at the Library. I was hooked. I ordered it used here on Amazon. The characters are well designed (and hotties: the young men on these game R cut!!) and unique to the fighting scene. There also is a multitute of unlockable characters, weapons, art work and demonstrations (which are fun). Even mini-movies!!
This game will keep U up at night!!! I stayed up 'til 4 am once to keep unlocking and buying newer and newer weapons!!!
Great fun!! A blast!! CCG

Pretty nice
Adds some classy stuff to the game. I wish I could have paid less for it but I bought it when it first came out. I am glad to have it though!

Not as glamorous as it could be.
Some nice additions to the base game, but you can find much nicer stuff for free on the internet on free sites.

Tween girls LOVE The Sims + Glamour Life!
Well, with age comes trading up from wasting money on virtual Magic Kingdom items that my kids never "touched", to this. lol Actually, this is much better! My oldest is especially hooked on ANYTHING related to The Sims. I've watched her create families and have them "live" their lives--the technology is fantastic....so why not have the SIMs look glamourous and live in lavish, stylish homes? sure! it's fun. the Glam items are pretty cool. she's waiting to hit me up for the Sims 3 coming in Feb. what a shame it won't be released for the holidays!!!

Its Gooood
The Sims 2 in general is a good game. This just gives it alittle more to do. I definately recommend this one!

The Sims @ GL Stuff
I really LOVE The Sims 2, and the Glamour Life Stuff is great! I really like the furniture and floors. The clothes are good, too. I am very happy with this game.

Not the best, but it has its place
I understand where many of the negative comments are coming from. The graphics aren't fantastic and the game play isn't very complicated. But as a college football fan who is more or less inexperienced at gaming and really just getting into it because of the unique nature of the Wii, I really enjoyed this. I likely would not have used much more complex controls (I have Madden 09 and probably don't get nearly the functionality out of it that I should). Of course I would have enjoyed better graphics but if I played games for graphics I would have a different system. I may not be the typical gamer but this game works for me and it might work for you too.

Ok For Beginners, Blah for anyone else.
I was quite excited to get this game, and now my enthusiasm has waned quite a bit. The first game I played was a rivalry game with the "All Play" controls, and promptly won 23-3, on the second difficulty level. I felt good, so I started a dynasty, and after finding out you can turn All Play off, I find that the game is impossible to play without them.

There is no running game whatsoever, player's open indicators are almost always wrong, and the game is full of bugs. Case in point, as I kicked a punt, I watched the ball indicator go out of bounds at the 17 yard line. The announcers promptly informed me that it went out at the 12, but the game set the ball at the 17. What gives? Second point, I blocked an extra point, and the ball rolled out of the back of the end zone. This is a failed extra point, right? No. This results in a 2 point conversion for the kicking team.

This game is great if you like the All-Play controls because you can't hit all the buttons required, etc, but if you are what they consider an advanced player, stick with Madden for the Wii, as NCAA isn't up to par. If you like running the score up, use All Play, and you will score all you want. This game is pretty much a failure when it comes to graphics, gameplay, and anything else you want in a game. I think Quarterback Club '96 looked about as good in the graphics department.

great game
Great game. i dont know why people have to say this is a bad game...
the graphics are pretty good and i dont think theres anything wrong about it.

Worst Football Game Ever!
I have been playing various versions of the EA Football games for it seems like ever and this is by far the worst game I have ever played. The controls are horrible, the game play stinks, and the rest, wow!

This game has nothing to it. 10 years of simulation? Huh. No game has less than 25 years. No create anything? Wow, again, it is part of the fun.

Take your money and buy something else, not this.

Don't give up on this one.
If I would have trusted my first impressions of this game I would have stopped playing after the first game, but over time it has grown on me. This is certainly not the best EA football game out there, and I would agree that any of the NCAA games for the GameCube are fundamentally better, but NCAA 09 has its place. Once I figured out how to change the camera views I became much more satisfied with the game. The controls were easy to learn and being able to adjust the AI made the learning curve fun. I was disappointed to find out that the voice clips from the announcers were not any different from the previous NCAA versions, but I purchased and play the game for the interactive nature of the Wii controls. Those who have problems with the game should be looking to the Xbox or PS3 for satisfaction. Games for the Wii are for interacting and having fun, not for spending 100 hours to complete a game or mind-bending graphics.

Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark
Binding: Game Cartridge
Manufacturer: Rareware
Editorial Review:
A first-person shooter that mixes spy and sci-fi, Perfect Dark is both a thoroughly engrossing one-player experience and a riotously fun multiplayer romp. Easily one of the best games of its genre on any video game console, this long-awaited follow-up to GoldenEye 007 is a must-have for Nintendo 64 owners--and a damn good reason to be one if you're not.

The futuristic Perfect Dark casts players as Joanna Dark, a secret agent who becomes embroiled in a sinister conspiracy involving aliens and an evil corporation. Gameplay is broken down into missions, each with objectives that must be unerringly completed before progressing to the next mission. This is not your typical kill-anything-that-moves game: putting a bullet in the wrong person, not keeping the right one alive, or perforating a seemingly unimportant inanimate object can often result in mission failure.

While Perfect Dark's solo missions play out much like those in GoldenEye 007, the game's fantastic multiplayer options are another matter entirely. Cooperative and counteroperative simultaneous-play modes allow for another player to join in on a mission as, respectively, a teammate or the enemy. However, the real fun here is in the highly customizable Combat Simulator, a one-to-four-player simultaneous-play mode that features both free-for-alls and team-based challenges and can include up to eight Simulants, computer-controlled combatants of varying behavior.

Although Simulants make for decent adversaries or teammates, you'll want to grab a friend--and an Expansion Pak, as only 35 percent of the game is available without one--to fully enjoy Perfect Dark. --Joe Hon

Pros:

  • One of the best first-person shooters on any video game console
  • Outstanding multiplayer game with huge replay value
  • Bevy of game options, cheats, and secret features
  • Excellent training mode with challenges all of its own
Cons:
  • Graphics get ugly when playing with more than two players

No short single player campaigns or empty online servers, this is the real deal.
This game is still the king of offline FPS, even 9 years later.

Bots?..yes

Combat simulator with a character editor, complete stat tracking, challenges, up to 4 players and a TON of options for BOT A.I. and weapons?
..you bet.

No replay value, short single player campaign, strictly-online multiplayer, and the fact that you''ll probably have to be buying the sequel that gets crapped out next year?
..heck no!!

The A.I. is no pushover, characters react like they should and limp around when shot in the arm or leg. Death animations add to the realism, so it does'nt seem like you're shooting wave after wave of cardboard cutouts like in many of todays FPS games.

This is one of the best FPS ever made.. THIS IS an example of the QUALITY one game can achieve, and is a great alternative to the quantity of short games that lack options and force you to buy the sequel year after year (this is prevalent in console games these days).

Wrestling games of today are having the same issues.

This is my favorite game of all time, need some insight? Check out the review on ign or read up some of the other reviews (400+ reviews!).

Best mulitplayer game ever made.
Back in the day this was the best multiplayer on N64. Since then I am sure there are better graphics and such, but none can compare. The weapons were original for its time, graphics, gameplay, control all mastered.

One of the best games ever!
Presentation

Amazing 3D architecture, beautiful texture design, real-time lighting, solid animation, etc. Framerate suffers now and then.

Gameplay

Whoa. So much to do, so little time. Intense single-player adventure, gripping storyline, and so many objectives. Amazing control and options will hook you.

Lasting Appeal
10
The most replay value of N64 game ever made -- period. If we need to explain why, you haven't read our review.

9.8 Overall Incredible Game!

One of the best games for the N64
I bought this game having played 007 quite a bit, which was made by the same people and is one of the greatest N64 games ever made. The advantage that Perfect Dark has is in the multiplayer combat. In addition to friends, you can have up to 8 computers playing in the game, with any combination of teams that you want. This is fun with several real friends, or just for playing by yourself against others. The AI is smart enough to be extremely challenging at the hardest difficulty levels, or slow/dumb enough for a new player to learn against at lower difficulty levels. Newer systems have better multiplayer capabilities (online, or hooking up multiple X-boxes for Halo parties, etc), but for the N64 this is as good as it gets (and if you like to play against computers instead of real people, then this is as good as any newer system games that I've seen).

Ehh...an interesting shooter, with fun 4 player options...
...but nothing quite like Goldeneye, or any of the 007 games. If the price is under , buy it, it'll be worth it.

Best Advance Wars yet
Faster gameplay, smarter enemy AI, and a more mature story make this the best Advance Wars yet.

The changes to the unit rooster make more tactics viable, and agressive tactics are more important than ever. These changes freshen up the gameplay and provide fresh challenges even for players of all of the previous Advance Wars games.

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin......
I'm one of those people who've never played Advance Wars before. The reason being is I didn't think tactical warfare strategy rpgs would interest me all that much. How I came across the game was I was looking for me a new game to play round Christmastime(as I was buyng myself a christmas present, lol). Most of the new games I wanted costed upwards of at certain game shops so I looked for something more affordable. I didn't see anything that interested me except for this new Advance Wars game so I took a chance, like always, and bought the game. Now, I'm hopelessly addicted to the game. For those of you who don't know what Advance Wars is about, let me explain the game to you. Players are given command of an army of soldiers and take turns sending them into battle across maps. There are ground, air, and water units to which you must use strategy to pit them against the right units in battle. Defeat the right units and you move on to the next map and chapter of the story. The story itself is about a guy named Will who works his way out of rubble and finds that his world is in ruins because meteors hit the earth. Will is soon rescued by Captain Brenner and his group in search of other survivors. That's where things get interesting. To my understanding, Intelligent Systems changed things up quite a bit with this game of Advance Wars. Gone is the cutesy anime artistic style of the games of yesterday and in with a new more gritty realistic style. Gone are several of the vehicles from previous games and in are new vehicles like the anti-tank, the duster and the seaplane. Some vehicles can now be used to build units and structures, as well. Players will encounter several new types of terrain as they make their way across the devasted earth. I also hear that the ability to select different Commanding Officers during battle has been removed. While I've never played any of the previous games, this isn't too much of a problem with me. This is a more grownup Advance Wars although not too grownup that the younger set that enjoyed the previous games can't enjoy this one. Personally, I'd love to see Intelligent Systems push this new darker toned AW in their next game as I really love AW: Days of Ruin. So much so, I aim on rounding up their previous games in the meantime.

Even if you're like me and not the tactical warfare strategy rpg type, give this game a shot. You'll definitely love playing it. I guarantee it!!!

awesome game
Such a fun strategy game. Not a game I would buy for younger kids but I'd say ages 12 and up would love this game. The storyline is really fun as well. Takes a little while to get a good grasp of how to play, but once you get down the basics its super addicting!!! :)

great game
i enjoy pretty much this game, i play this title since advance wars and it had more unit's a deeper story, more real like caracters in simple words "a great game"

Excellent addition to the Advance Wars library
I love when people take risks. Advance Wars has done that with both iterations for the DS. It was quite a leap to completely remove the story from the past 3 games and also go with a completely different tone. This game is not the upbeat, happy-go-lucky joyride of the past 3. Instead it creates a world that is bleak and desolate, starting the game off after a meteor shower has killed off most of the world's population. Now it is not just a struggle against an opponent, but also one of survival. I thoroughly enjoyed this setting, though I must say, not quite as much as the quirkiness of the past few games. Perhaps with a bit better writing it would have been fantastic, but it is still a solid story nonetheless.

This game also completely rebalances the units, bringing in different costs, changing abilities on some, removing others, and adding in new ones. This creates a greater balance so that just using 4 or 5 different units isn't always a great strategy. Along with the unit rebalance, the COs get a complete makeover in their capabilities. Gone are the overpowering abilities and in their place stands only one CO power per CO. The meter is now the same for all COs and you no longer build it faster, or at all, by taking damage. Each unit now counts the same and destroying 5 health to any unit raises your meter a bar. This is not global though, as the day-to-day abilities are not either. Each CO gets a zone around the unit you decide to put your CO in. Only the units within this zone get the added benefits, as well as your CO led unit getting a real nice boost. This zone will then grow up to two more squares in radius as you level up. This brings a great strategy into play. You can then choose to use your CO power and lose your greater zone, or not use it and keep your increased zone to effect more units.

After all is said and done, I don't think this game is as great as Dual Strike. It doesn't have the great war room anymore, though there are some maps you can play even though you don't get any rating on them. The greatest addition though is the wifi play, allowing you play anyone else around the world. Unfortunately, it is a bit limited in its design, but fun all the same. For some, this is a better game than its predecessors, yet for others, it is a very good game that could have used just a little more. In the end, if you enjoy strategy games, this really is a must buy.

Extremely Realistic!
First off, I'm a new/casual gamer. I don't play that much. But I always wanted to fly jets, so I decided to buy a PS/2 and pickup an aircraft simulator. This one had excellent reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It's certainly worth it!!! The heads-up-display is extremely accurate. If you've ever seen Top Gun with Tom Cruise then expect the same with this game! Because of this, there was definitely a learning curve, but the game has a 14 step tutorial that introduces you to flight terminology and acrobatics, and won't let you take the next step until you have successfully completed the current one. The only thing that really trip me up is the fictional wars and names. The game is SO real and life-like until you actually believe you're fighting one of our past wars like Desert Storm or Vietnam, so when you get your briefing and you hear these "other" names it kind of throws you off. But thats it! This is one true to life gaming experience!

Fun in the Sky
I'm new to the Ace Combat series. I found this game to be enjoyable. Graphics are superb.

SHort but good
I love the game, but I thought that it went by a little too fast. It neede to be longer.

Not bad
Writing this review after 2 months of playing AC5.Enjoyed Belkan War more than AC5. The only plus is that, u have lot more options in selecting aircraft in Ace Combat 5,except for this it never really tested my skills.Would rate Belkan War 5 stars compared to AceCombat 5.

EXCELLENT
I loved this game! The storyline was great and the planes and levels were beautifully simulated. I've never been a one for level games - I prefer sports games - but this tops them all. I recommend this to anyone.

Xbox live 12+1 month subscription
I got this as a Christmas gift for my husband and he was delighted. It came as described and arrived very quickly.

good deal
This is a good deal. Save about 11 [..]. just have to wait a few days for it to ship.

Good price for a product I shouldn't have to buy
We also have a PS3 and so don't quite understand why Xbox charges a monthly fee (or gets away with it). I've seen nothing in XBox Gold I could live without, but for thirty eight and change for 13 months, it was worth a test drive. Yet to be seen whether or not it will be renewed. (This is in no way a PS3 vs. Xbox argument overall - just finished Halo 3 and loved every second of it!) My card came quickly and I did not have to scratch anything on it to get the code.

Worth the money
Bought Xbox Live from Amazon because it was cheaper than Wal-mart or Target and because I love Amazon.

My son uses it for gaming, but I bought it primarily for streaming video from Netflix. I love it!!! I was going to buy the Roku box, but am definitely glad I researched a little before I forked out the money for it. I have too many electronic things in the living room...didn't need anything else.

Luckily my son will share his Xbox with his Mom...LOL!! We both enjoy watching movies and he enjoys the gaming! It was definitely worth the money.

Best Price
I'm very pleased with the multiplayer capability afforded to me with this card. It's also the best value I could find anywhere with free shipping and the cheapest price, period. Call of Duty 4, Left 4 Dead, and Grand Theft Auto 4 have been a blast online.

Brilliant Platformer
Jak and Daxter is a lush and colourful game with intuitive controls. The level design is eye catching and varied. The characters are fun to look at and are genuinely amusing to interact with. The game can be challenging, but it is not punishing, and your efforts are well rewarded and satisfying.

This is my favorite in the Jak series as well as one of the best platformers I have ever played on any system.

FANTASTIC GAME FOR KIDS
This classic is sure to entertain your kids for many hours. There are many different worlds to explore that are all brilliant and full of color. You are Jak a young boy and your partner Daxter has been turned into a weasel. You have to explore vast world and obtain enough power cells in order to move on to the next worlds. You must complete different tasks in order to obtain these power cells. For example you must heard cows into a pen and catch a certain amount of fish with a net in another section. These are just two examples of fun mini games that you must play in order to progress thru the game. If you are looking for a fun game for kids without the foul language or violence then look no further.

The start of a great series
I absolutley adore the Jak and Daxter games. I recall, when I first got a PS2, which was years ago (I had the big, black, old one so you do the math), I would rent games for it in the movie store. I saw Jak and Daxter and it looked exactly like my type of game. And so, of course I loved it. This game is flawless, the graphics are awesome (I adore the cartoon type graphics, it suits it so well), and the characters are loveable. I fell in love with Jak when I started playing as him (yes I'm one of those weird girls who thinks that guy characters are hot). As a pair, Jak and Daxter are awesome. I never and will never know to this day if Jak was a mute or not in the first game. Sometimes he acted like he was about to talk when Daxter cut in instead. So, who knows. It makes it all the funnier. I could complain about how the game seems a bit short but in all honesty I think it's exactly the right length for an adventure game like this. It really wasn't too short nor too long. Right in the middle. And after you beat the game you can go back and collect the rest of any power cells that you missed, which if you get lets you see a secret scene for collecting them. It's nothing too long but it makes you want to grabe the second game to see what it is. Not my favorite game in the Jak and Daxter trilogy but I still love nonetheless! I consider the trilogy to be one my top five favorite games of all time. I count the series as a whole game. I love it!

Jak and Daxter
Jak and Daxter is fun for all ages. Great game to play with a friend or young one.

Perhaps it was Good for it's Time... (by Laura)
I'm torn about this game. For the most part, I don't really have fond memories of it but memories of frustration; which is quite unusual for me. I've actually had this game since I was very young. If a game is hard enough (it must be extremely difficult for me), I can get tired of playing it and put it down, as well as forget about it, for several years. Then, later in my life, I dig it back out to complete it (often my skills have improved since I last played). So, in that respect, it occasionally takes me years to complete a game. I'll give you the cons and the pros in that order. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether or not this game is even worth your time.

Cons:

1. This game is one player only. This isn't a problem to me, as a solo gamer; but I know many people like to play in groups or with a partner. This especially hurts this game in fields relevant of today's; where almost everything is designed for the possible participation of at least four people. I'm just warning you about this upfront.

2. No ending. There is no ultra secret ending; it's all an over-hyped disgrace. You have a door that requires at least one hundred power cells to open it. You literally go from that you-know-what-hot-place and back to get one hundred of those stinking power cells only for a white light that the characters awe over. You never even know what the white light belongs to! Don't bother completing the game one hundred percent for something better either. It doesn't work; that's all you get. This made me so Hoover Dam mad! They had absolutely no right to yank our chains like that.

3. Repetitious music. Even upon hearing it for the first time in years, I'm sick of it. It's okay at first; but even to begin with, the music could be better.

4. Various control quirks. Jak looks horrible when he's jumping (like some deranged bird trying to fly) and his double jump doesn't even work if you wait even half of a second too long. This leads to a lot of unnecessary deaths by falling. Also, camera controls are just awful; it can get pretty difficult when your camera is determined to stay in one angle, when you need it to go into another. This causes even more deaths by falling.

5. Hard and Frustrating. Remember all of those deaths by falling I mentioned earlier? You'll probably go through thousands of those as well as get lost a thousand times. Have a stress ball or pillow ready, or you may break your game through your urge to thrash it. Adding to this frustration, Daxter can occasionally be an annoyance (a cocky coward who's all talk).

6. Various glitches and somewhat poor level design. This, combined with Jak's terrible jumping ability, can make this game a complete nightmare. Look around online for more specifics on the glitches (thankfully, I don't think I've encountered many, if any) but trust me: they won't make your life easier.

7. Overused enemies. You pound a lot of the same creatures, even over the course of different areas.

Pros:

1. Beautiful graphics. nice, lush backgrounds pertaining to forests, beaches, caves, and towns. They use good graphics for lost cities, the citadel (which is like the final level), and labs too, but those can be a little repetitious. If you take a few minutes to watch the sky in a natural environment, you can watch the cycles of day and night with the sun, stars, and moon. Although it cycles slightly too quickly, I think that's the most impressive part of it. Oh, bear in mind these graphics are slightly cartoonish.

2. Decent plot. It's also very simple: Jak and his friend, Daxter, are exploring someplace the Green Sage told them not to go. While they are exploring, they find a pool of dark eco, a sinister and black element harmful to all creatures. After they find it, they are spotted by a villainous sentry which initiates a battle. Jak fight while Daxter hides behind him; but the force of Jak knocking out the sentry causes Daxter to fall in the dark eco. Daxter comes out, but soon realizes (and screams) over being transformed into a cute and furry little ottsel. They return to the Green Sage, who scolds them for going where he told them not to go. He's reluctant to help, eventually slipping the information that he can't help anyway: only the White Sage can help. Now, how and where do you find him? That's where the journey begins.

3. Comical/interesting characters. Most of the characters are funny. In the earlier stages of the game, Daxter will say something funny every time Jak passes out (gets defeated on land), even to the point of insinuating that Jak's breath smells. Also early in the game, the Green Sage scolds and screams at them like crazy; which is also funny. Sadly, at the later points of the game, these jokes go away making some of the characters seem serious and out of material (which isn't overwhelmingly) much). That doesn't mean there aren't any more interesting characters: Kiera, for example, is a female inventor of sorts that will make various crafts for you. You'll also bump into a sculptor looking for his muse and even a guy wearing a barrel. The sculptor and barrel wearing guy, however, are characters that can only be spoken to a limited number of times.

4. The fishing minigame is fun.

5. It's addictive at first.

Conclusion:
That's all I can really say. This game had the potential to be excellent, but it didn't quite hit the mark. Those with a lot of patience will enjoy it the most. Don't give it to younger children unless they're really skilled; or they won't enjoy it. You can buy it if you want a real challenge (that has quirks), or if something here really appeals to you; but other than that, there are better platformers out there.

cool items
well i was given this "Stuff" Pack from a family member for no reason. But i had read things about so many of the other "Stuff" packs i wasn't all that interested. But when i got it on i was impressed. I actually liked it. Im only going to buy one "Stuff" pack and that's the Teen pack. But other then only getting at the least of 25 items for a value. i was upset because i felt bad because most of this stuff you can get identical or better looking stuff from a Fan site. But not up-set with it.

Happy Holiday Stuff
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. I asked her what she thinks about it. She said: You can't interact with the items. Such as if you get a Christmas tree you can't open presents. It's not what she expected.

7 out of 10 A Good Sims 2 Expansion

Happy Holiday Stuff extras. However it's not necessary unless you're a big Sims 2 fan and enjoy the games Customization features such as building and decoration your own home.

Holiday Stuff includes various extras such as Christmas Trees, Santa outfits, Hanukkah Decorations and more.

Love the Christmas Spirit!
I love this game because there is so much Christmas stuff but there is also halloween and Hannukah and stuff! I love when Santa comes and stuff! I'm glad I found this it is one of the best stuff packs!

Ok for the price now.
I just got this CD as a gift as my sister found a brand new copy at a Goodwill for B000HAWCFE.99. Most of the stuff in it is fairly worthless unless you have seasons, which I don't. This CD is almost all Christmas, with Halloween-Hannukah-Kwanza as afterthoughts. There are a few nice Asian outfits thrown in and some long Santa style beards which were handy. Some of the doors and windows are alright additions. The Halloween objects totaled 3, all of which are available on EA's site. Sadly, there were no new Halloween face paints, monster masks, etc.

Overall, this isn't too bad if you can get it for or less, unless you really love Christmas.
